Where Is The Celery Farm Located?
The Celery Farm is located on Franklin Turnpike in Allendale, NJ. It has two entrances. The main entrance is from a small parking lot that is located on the east side of the turnpike. Once you are on route 17 north you are going to take the Allendale exit that goes west and after 0.8 miles you are going to turn right onto Cottage Place. At the end of Cottage Place, you are going to turn right onto Franklin Turnpike where you will find the parking lot roughly 100 yards on the right.
If you are wanting to enter The Celery Farm from the northern part then you are going to want to continue north on Franklin Turnpike until you reach Green Way street. Once there you will continue until the end of the street and reach a turnaround where you can park.
What To Do At The Celery Farm?
The Celery Farm is a 107-acre freshwater wetland nature preserve. It is open to the public all year round. The preserve is home to over 248 bird species. It is also home to mammals, insects, fish, and reptiles. Just keep in mind that there are no pets allowed in the preserve.
You can enjoy the 1.2-mile loop trail which is perfect for walking, hiking, birdwatching, or enjoying some moments of solitude if that is what you need. You can also take a field trip to any of the three observation decks where you can birdwatch and take some fantastic photos along the way of all the flowers, birds, and scenery.
